[Although her interest in Allen and Kaoru hasn't gone away, in the end Bulla has decided to see where things go with Izuku. Allen is kind and wants to use his abilities to help others, but she's not sure he's mentally and emotionally ready for dating. Not when she's had to push him toward something as simple as a roof over his head with running water, electricity and heat.
Kaoru shares her love of fashion and has a good sense of humour, but so many of the things that are normal for her are very strange to him, and she's barely scratched the surface of what her world is like when talking to him.
Izuku is a brave and kind future hero, and he's working hard to achieve that goal, yet he still knows how to relax and live a civilian life. He's analytical, which she likes, and while he may be a little socially awkward at moments, she's come to find that endearing. So she dials him up with a question.]
Hi Izuku! Are you free on Saturday night? I was wondering if you wanted to go to dinner and a movie with me.
[It's about eight hours later when Izuku finally responds. He needed time to sporadically alternate between freaking out, thinking, studying and making notes, and still getting in some training time because that never quits.]
[He's played the message a few times to make sure he understands exactly what she's asking. He doesn't want to make a stupid assumption or embarrass himself, or worse, embarrass her. Asking someone out is really hard and takes a lot of courage, even for someone confident, and he respects that a great deal.]
[BUT WHY CHOOSE HIM? He really has no idea, but he's a little happy she did.]
Hey! Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I was really surprised.
But...uh...are you really sure about this? It feels like I should be the one taking the initiative on this sort of thing.
[When he asks her if she's sure, for a moment, she's wondering if he's trying to find a way to turn her down nicely and there's a slight sinking feeling in her stomach when she thinks he might be rejecting her.
Then as she hears the rest of what he has to say, she realizes that this isn't necessarily a rejection. Not with the way he's mentioned initiative. Instead, it sounds like he's overthinking it, which she can see him doing all too easily. So she opts to be direct.]
I'm sure. If you want to take the initiative, then you can ask me to go to something with you.
